“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in year of conversation”.

What is play therapy?

Play therapy is the use of a child's innate playfulness and language in the context of one-on-one care with a play therapist. Children are able to express their emotions and behaviors freely in a safe and respectful environment, while dealing with their own stress and difficulties. Through the process of play therapy, children can manage their thoughts and emotions, and learn to cope with stress and challenges such as restlessness, anxiety, fear, withdrawal, adaptation, and special learning needs. This enhances the development of self-esteem, confidence, resilience, and positive emotional well-being.

Who fits for Play Therapy?

Play therapy is particularly suitable for children, but can also be used for adolescents and adults.

Children with the following conditions can benefit from play therapy:

Low mood, sadness or depression, nightmares filled with anger and hostility, excessive fear and worry, self-harming behaviors, refusal to attend school, social difficulties, excessive reliance on caregivers, parental divorce, witnessing violence and traumatic events, adjustment problems, bullying, abuse, and special learning needs, among others.

Duration for each session

The required duration varies for each child, with each session typically lasting about 45 minutes. For specific issues, some children may only need four to six sessions, and their parents observed their children have great changes in attitudes and behaviours as a result. In general, it takes about eight to twelve sessions. More severe problems may require a greater number of sessions. Play therapy not only helps children eliminate and solve problems but also sets them on a path of healthy and abundant growth.

Parent workshop - Child Parent Relationship Therapy

Does your child exhibit these behaviors? Temper Tantrums, lying, withdrawal, difficulty getting along with others, lack of motivation in learning, and so on.

These behaviors often conceal underlying psychological distress. The focus of this workshop is on how to listen to the needs, emotions, and desires expressed by children through play. By providing appropriate responses, parent can convey a deep sense of care & understanding for their children, helping them overcome emotional obstacles, restore healthy emotions, and develop positive growth.

This course helps parents aware the important of child-parent relationship, attitudes, approaches, and techniques for communicating with their children, enabling them to understand their children's inner world through play. It promotes child-parent relationships and improves children's emotional and behavioral problems.
